About Us
Value-based care is the future of medicine.
Value-based care rewards doctors for providing quality care over quantity of care. CMS aims to enroll all Medicare-eligible individuals in a value-based care plan by 2030. What does this shift look like for providers?
Under value-based care models, providers must demonstrate patient engagement, implement quality programs, and properly document and code the care they provide to maximize reimbursements and align patient care plans.
Accurate coding and documentation depicting the appropriate health status and disease burden of the patient is an integral part of value-based care and is important for multiple reasons, including:

Patient Resources
It helps CMS allocate appropriate patient care resources based on the disease burden.

Patient Safety
It is important for patient safety as accurate diagnosis documentation and early disease identification lead to an accurate treatment plan.

Provider Security
Appropriate documentation is the depiction and proof of the hard work providers do on behalf of their patients

ICD-10 has more than 90,000 codes, so categorizing each patient's diagnosis can be challenging, especially when providers face daily demands.
At CoDoc Academy, we are passionate about provider support, empowerment, and patient care.
We are a doctor's companion in coding and documentation. Through customized training programs, we make HCC and ICD-10 documentation easy to understand and implement accurately so your practice can flourish.

It’s important that physicians and patients understand how to practice this appropriately,” says Dr. Bambha. “When we help our provider colleagues to understand the clinical relevance of each HCC category and ICD-10 code, the clinical and coding worlds come together for the good of both the provider and the patient.”
Dr. Bambha works side-by-side with CoDoc’s clinical partners—physicians, organizations, or coders—to ensure that the disease burden of each patient is represented accurately by empowering our providers.
When Dr. Bambha isn’t coaching and guiding colleagues to better patient care, she taps into her creative side. She loves painting, cooking for friends and family, and enjoying daily cups of chai tea on the patio of her home in sunny Las Vegas, Nevada.

Meet Dr. Mona Bambha
Founder and President
Founder and President of CoDoc Academy, Dr. Mona Bambha, develops and conducts extensive medical coding and documentation training for providers to connect the clinical world with the coding world for optimal patient outcomes. She approaches her work with direct knowledge of the medical field.
Having first served as a hospitalist and then as a primary care physician in internal medicine for Medicare Advantage patients, she achieved an impressive understanding of the risk adjustment model. She realized that she had a gift worth sharing with other clinicians – one that could significantly improve patient care, increase provider revenue, and unburden the healthcare system.

Our Promise
We empower providers to take care of patients in the best way possible.
Testimonials
After attending the webinar on Diabetes with complications, I found it to be incredibly informative and easy to grasp from both a clinical and coding perspective. The engagement from everyone involved, sharing experiences and utilizing examples, made the learning experience even more enriching. Dr. Bambha was exceptional, combining her expertise as a doctor with her certification as a coder, which enabled her to bridge the gap between clinical practice and coding guidelines seamlessly. Her passion for teaching and supporting coders was evident throughout the session, and I am grateful for the insights she shared. Attending this class was a pleasure, and I eagerly anticipate the next one. Thank you so much Dr. Bambha! 🙌
